The Fireman and the Flirt by A.J. Truman
3.0
This book was funny for sure. But honestly I found that Carry was incredibly annoying. I guess there truly is someone for everyone because I would have kicked Carry to the curb like, wayyyyyyyy at the beginning of the book.
Moving on, I love that AJ Truman write age appropriate children, I think that makes the books so much easier to read. No one wants to listen to a 6 year old giving their parents dating advice. Trust me, all 6 year olds talk about is Minecraft and farts.
The sexual chemistry on page was excelled and I absolutely adored Derek.
Other than Carry giving me the Ick like every time he spoke- my only other complaint was that No body checked on the daughter. Her mom literally died like a couple months ago, she was moved cross country as a junior high student and her dad just came out as bisexual and brought a man home. Like.... is she okay? Thats a lot of huge, gigantic changes in her life and the only time it's really mentioned is that she was bullied at her old school so she was relieved that she got to change schools. Like.......... for real? She's just super chill about her mom literally being dead like four pages ago? REALLY!?!?
ugh.
I actually am more annoyed writing this review than I was before I did.
I'd give this 2.5 stars only because of Carry being annoying and the poor daughter. Even Derek and cameos from my other fave characters in this series couldn't really help me like this more.
