By far the best fantasy series I ever came across. It has everything fantasy is known and sought for; it's complex, adventurous and filled with wonder. The magic system is very well developed as are all the different cultures, species and political systems. Eragon's story, though very exciting, is only a window into a universe that seems not only possible but real. This series defined my teen years and I still compare every book to it. I strongly recommend it to anyone who likes fantasy.
