This Fantasy novel wasn't just epic in the categorical way but also in a "OMG this was epic" kind of way! I already loved Priory of the Orange Tree when I read it a whole 2 years ago, so it was a no brainer that I had to read this book, too. In my opinion this is a very worthy addition to the world of Priory, one of the greatest and best executed Fantasy worlds I ever got the chance to dive into!
The characters in this book were so very well written and I really felt with them through literally everything. That's probably also why I will never recover from the emotional damage this book created😂
The writing was really extraordinary, too. I looooved how you could realy feel the change of tone just by looking at the writing style itself by comparing it at different points in the book!
No, for real, you should all go read PotOT and ADoFN because Samantha Shannon is an absolute master at writing Fantasy!
