You're a Mean One, Matthew Prince by Timothy Janovsky

This book is the vibes of season 1 of Schitt’s Creek, if the Roses (Mathew definitely resembles the family as a whole) came to town during Christmas. It had all the usual rom-com feels, but also gave warm fuzzy Christmas feelings. I loved the queer romance (with multiple queer characters) and the representation in the story. This book talked so much more about anxiety disorders than I expected and it also has resources for hotlines/crisis resources in the back! I also liked that the issues weren’t so easily forgiven. All the characters realize there is work needed to repair their relationships and it gave it a more realistic feel. Overall, it was cute and a fun Christmas read!

As a side note, I wish this book was named after Scrooge and not the Grinch since A Christmas Carol has more meaning to the story.
