There’s a handful of classic fantasy books that I missed as a kid (somehow, idk how) and this is one of them.

It feels a lot like le Guin feels: Pulling on a warm coat when it’s raining outside and the leaves are turning; comfortable and safe, not needing to be more than that, but if you want more there’s depths. A very nice fairy tale, and this is not an insult.
