📝 Bisexual & Trans Rep; 1st Person POV; C/W for alcoholic parent & death of parent
I have to say, I think this was my favorite Christmas read this year.
This slow-burn, small town, second chance romance, best friends-to-enemies-to-lovers reminded me of a Queer Hallmark Christmas Movie with a dash of spice. There was just something so sweet about the town of Fern Falls, coming together to save itself from the big bad corporation trying to come in and destroy the small town charm.
Fern Falls is full of a lot of amazing residents, which are all unique and bring something special to the story. I did struggle with Cassie a bit at the beginning though? I felt she was a bit too “woe is me” about everything. She did eventually grow on me though, once she stopped making everything about herself.
