I think that if you are accustomed to reading thrillers that contain a lot of blood pressure raising scenes, then you'll be wrong-footed jumping into this book. I would say that this story is related to thrillers in the sense that there is a sense of dread as you travel along with Nella. It isn't a mystery in the sense of a "whodunit," but more about the consequences of choices being revealed through the plot of the story. I loved it, and the more I sit with the book, the more I find that I really, really enjoyed the story.
