Tomorrow, When the War Began by John Marsden
5.0
I'm giving this 5 stars.
I feel like this series is just mandatory to read as an Aussie. I love the movie adaptation, and reading this gave me so much nostalgia and joy (which is weird considering the context of the book).
I didn't want to put it down, and I was always engaged in what was happening. It feels so hopeful and optimistic. You root for the gang the whole time.
I love the friendship depicted as well. There's so much love, and self discovery between everyone
