My one and only complaint is that it’s soooo longwinded… like, get to it already!! Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed the politics and the world building, the side characters and Romy’s journey but I felt it was lacking in the romance department for a romantasy book. Hoping book 2 solves this? Because I generally liked Romy and Zander but to me they did not have enough time together, and I was missing the tension :(
The last 20% really picked up but I felt the pacing could have been done better. Book 2 whenever I find it on sale somewhere
