The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath

4.5

I wish I had read this for a uni course, so I could have properly dissected it with a bunch of other readers. However, I am a huge fan of Plath's poetry, in part due to the way she writes about mental health, marriage and the experience of womanhood. Naturally, I ended up liking this book as well, which deals with so much of the same! If you have ever found yourself in a bell jar, this book will resonate with you. Be warned though, this book (or at least its main character) is racist and uses racist language, so keep that in mind before reading it.
