“You are just a nightmare. This is all a nightmare.”
“What new level of madness is this?”
“You cannot break what is already broken.”
“Now, be a good little devil and do exactly as I say.”
Short Living Nightmares novella happening after The House of Whispers.
I find Casper and Jakkal both to be interesting characters, and I loved their relationship dynamic.
I also enjoyed the deeper look into Casper’s magic and how her mind was working.
Even though the book was quite short, there was a lot happening. The asylum itself was an intriguing concept. Some of the side characters had me second guessing what was going on and what their intentions were.
I received an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review. Receiving ARC didn’t affect my opinion of the book.
