I haven’t tore through a book this fast in a while. Such an emotional horror story about home and childhoods and the grease coating the memories. Also good for those with daddy issues— just wish we could have known more about her dad. The line from her mother “he loves me, your relationship with him is between you and him” or whatever made me rethink their relationship and why he loved Vera so much? I still loved this book tho. Great ending and

James got what he deserved. Kinda wished Vera would have bled him like her father did though
