Virals by Kathy Reichs
5.0
I debated over whether to give this a four or a five star rating, but I decided to commit to the five stars. Overall, this book was excellent. Its fast paced, amusing, and the plot is fascinating. Each page left me begging for the next. I read the first two books of this series back in middle school (I'm a senior in high school now) and I remember enjoying it immensely. It was only the other day, quite out of the blue, that I had the most severe urge to finish the entire series, which was not all out at the time. So, I checked this book out from my local library and read it in under 12 hours. I. COULD. NOT. PUT. THE. BOOK. DOWN.
Kathy Reich's writing style isn't particularly a style of good literature, but I think that was intended. I did find the writing choppy but it was narrated in the perspective of a teenage character, so it seemed quite realistic. The author was very effective at making me feel like I was actually there in each scene. I could nearly see, touch, feel, and smell everything the main character could and like I said, the plot kept my eyes glued to the page.
Conclusion: This book is defiantly worth the read. You're missing out if you don't.
