God I love this author. She knows how to perfectly encapsulate the overwhelming beauty of true nature, yet deep despair of its continual disappearance. This book, much like Migrations, made me feel deeply ill in my yearning for the humans to be just a little less cruel to the world and the creatures within it.

Inti was a fierce protagonist, whose love of wolves and their wildness overshadowed a lot of her common sense and reasoning. I loved her character, and her modifications, and although I don’t particularly enjoy reading about domestic violence, her unique condition played a very interesting and unique role on how that influenced the story. I loved her, and her story, and dear god I loved those wolves. Great book, and I will read anything else this author puts out.
