Into the Darkness by K.F. Breene

4.0

This book had humor and sex and humor and it was good written for a self published first in a series.

Yes it has rape in it but it is something so close to reality that it should be ridiculous to get upset about it because it bursts some peoples bubble here.

In a world where sex is force fed down our throats every minute of every day rape is something that happens and yet noone is giving it more than a thought, let alone the time of day. Everywhere you see semi nude people and talk about sex. On the same not free expression of one's sexuality is forbidden and driven down with extreme force.

I read hear on reviews that the rape is a no go and that the fact that the people doing this never had to answer for it.
Tell me how many rapist haven't answered for their actions in real life for various reasons? How many or much have you read or heard about people that got to experience that - for a lack of a better world - awful behaviour? Without victimising them and making things worse that is.
This book is so close to reality on that point it is scary.

I really, really enjoyed it and I liked that an author brought the harsh reality of rape and sexuality through his/her writings.

Don't get me wrong I like sex like but books need to have something else along with it, something more..

The coming together of these subjects and traits, the way they blend together might seem weird for some and you will definitely go "wtf did I just read", on a good way hopefully, even for the most open minded people.

I don't have a comfort zone and I would read most - even though I might not enjoy them in the end - but I DO recommend reading this and thinking carefully about the semi-subtle messages in it.
