The Secret Service of Tea and Treason is a brilliant finale to the Dangerous Damsels series. I was excited when I learned that Alice and particularly Bixby were the main characters of this book. It is a romp involving secret agents, pirates, witches, forced proximity, fake marriage, possible assassination attempts on Queen Victoria, conga lines, deadly butlers, and much more of the wonderful chaos that India Holton writes masterfully. The romance is affecting, with two lonely love interests who start to learn that maybe they don’t have to be alone. I don’t want to say too much, because I don’t want to mess up the full enjoyment of the developing story.
I listened to the audiobook. Elizabeth Knowelden did a fantastic job. She adds another level to the story for me.
I love this series, and I loved this book. The whole series is on my reread list. Just so, so good and so, so funny.
