I wasn't expecting this book to go in the direction that it did and that was a pleasant surprise. Dare I say it felt like it was written almost in direct response to another certain author who has been rather outspoken with their beliefs? It was a little slow at the beginning and I wanted a little more about how the coven interacts with the wider world, but on the whole I had a good time reading this. Yes, there were a lot of pop culture references, but they didn't bother me. Also, the ending was incredibly bold. Not entirely sure how I feel about it other than it certainly sets up for some big waves... and trigger warning for terf pov, it sucked being in her head!
