Perfect Storm is the second book in the Wild Scots series. In this one, we follow Skye, Lennox's sister. I loved the first book and couldn't get enough of Lennox's story, and I was so happy that the writing style followed in this book. But in this one, we have a surprise pregnancy. Skye is getting ready to move to New York City to start the internship she fought for in the previous book. She had a farewell night with one of Lennox's best friends, Artair. I loved that they had their initial meeting in the first book and that chemistry followed into this book because they kind of met randomly at the start of it. Still, we already knew from the last book how attracted Sky was to him. This book ended up being so fun to see play out because they had a one-night stand, and then she moved to another country. They were basically strangers and had to learn about one another while trying to figure out how to make this parenting thing work. I really loved them together.
I love how Vines wrote this book, and I loved her writing in the previous book. I really want to finish this series. Still, I'm unsure if I will continue with the series or go back and read Vines' Marry the Scots first because that one is about all of their parents' romances. So I think that would be a lot of fun to read, but the way this book ended, I need to start the next book asap because I need to find out what happens to Sebastian! Sebastian's not my favorite character in this series. Still, the whole epilogue here focused on his book, which is the next one. Even though I hated that this epilogue was so focused on him, I was left needing to read his book as soon as possible. I wish we had a little more of Skye and Artair's life after they finally got everything to work out and had their baby.
