Marrying Mr. Majestic by Lucy Lennox
5.0
Heartwarming small town, fake marriage romance!
"My husband.” The word was precious, a treasure on my tongue. “My beloved husband.”
Silas has been burned by love before and is determined to never fall in love again. When he finds himself sharing a drink with a straight cowboy at a bar, the last thing he expects is to end up married to him. And when they're forced to stay married, he really doesn't expect to fall for his not-so-straight husband and his Majestic town.
"There was something about having a husband— even a temporary, accidental one— that felt different. More intimate. More… mine."
Waylon Fletcher is overworked and tired. Juggling his job as mayor and running his family's ranch means he has no time to make mistakes. Marrying a stranger in Vegas is just that and he can't let his people know the truth. But Silas is not like anything he ever expected. He might be from the city, but he fits right at home in Majestic and in Way's heart.
"The way he said “our marriage,” like it was real… like it was something that was ours alone, something special and shared… made my stomach clench."
I loved Silas and Way's story so much! Lucy Lennox's stories never fail to make me happy and this one made me smile so much. Silas is a fixer and Way really needed someone to step in and shoulder his burdens with him. And Silas needed someone to heal his broken heart and help him find joy in the simple things again. Though their marriage started with a lie, they build a relationship based on trust and support and find a truly wonderful life partner in each other.
"There was something about that possessive look in Silas’s eyes that shot a hook deep down inside me… and settled in for the long haul."
From apology showers to breakfast food as a love language, the love between these two was so obvious even when they were knee-deep in denial and pretension. When things went wrong in their lives, their first thought was always the other person and that warmed my heart so much. And no matter what life threw at them they weathered it together, because even when they were strangers at a bar, they supported each other and had each others back.
"I wondered if it was possible for something this unexpected and unplanned to feel so incredibly, life- changingly right."
I truly adored this fake marriage romance with hurt/comfort moments. And I'm so excited to see what comes next for this brotherhood. I've been intrigued by Dev since the beginning and I can't wait to see the quiet horse-lover find his happily ever after. Until then, I'd highly recommend checking out this small town romance so you can fall in love with Way, Silas and Majestic, Wyoming, just like I did!
