I liked Kyle. He was even tempered while Ruby was the one with the bad decisions who needed to grovel in the end. But there was definite growth in the characters and relationship. The cause of the third act angst was believable. It was pretty hot. I’m not sure the purpose of the swinging scene other than for pure smut. But it was meh. I didn’t feel it did any of the necessary emotional work required, and ruby could have met Joseph in another way.
