Not that Ruth knows any submissive women. She's proud to say that she hasn't even read Fifty Shades of Grey.
As far as murder mysteries go, The Woman in Blue was not a stand-out for me. Even if you ignore Ruth's internalized misogyny and the repeatedly shoe-horned 'diversity,' Griffiths struggles to create tension or provide convincing motivations for her characters. I also resented the unnecessary romance sub-plots...man, this really didn't need to be 350 pages long.
My copy also had multiple typos in it? I reckon I should probably stop trying to go on 'blind-dates-with-a-book.'
