Scent of a Mate by Milly Taiden
4.0
4 1/2 stars!
As far as I know, this is the first book by either Milly Taiden or April Angel that I've read, but it definitely won't be the last. The idea of the couple having known how much they were attracted to each other from such young ages, and feeling the deeper connection that whole time, really drew me in. Their interactions were enhanced by the fact that they knew each other so well. And for Aric to have stepped back to let Jordan grow up and get experiences of her own, on her own, had to have been extremely hard for him. To watch her living a life that only barely included him must have been difficult beyond description. But that just made their finally getting together that much sweeter. Of course, no good book is without conflict, and for Jordan and Aric that came in the form of her being attacked. I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the series, since I'm pretty positive the conflict that started in this book will continue for most, if not all, of this series. Which makes for a great series!
