I don’t think I’ll ever get over how much I loved this book. I listened to an interview with Hartmann on an episode of The Losers Club podcast and after hearing her talk about the book, I immediately went out and bought it. And boy was that the right decision. 

This book is a perfectly curated collection of the best the horror genre has to offer. I was glad to find that I had already started making a debt (albeit a very small one) in the list of recommended books and authors, but now I’m just so excited to make my way through this book. And yes, I will be utilizing the checkbox list at the end of the book to check off each read I get through. 

If you’re new to horror, or want to expand your horizons within the genre to different authors or tropes, I would 1000% recommend this book.
