Hani and Ishu's Guide to Fake Dating by Adiba Jaigirdar

3.0

i was invested in the first half of the book, but then the relationship between hani and ishu felt just flat to me. the fake-dating didn't really make sense either; both the reasons behind it and the way they acted it out. there was barely any chemistry. someone else's review said they could've been two best friends and there would be no difference - and that's really it.

it was interesting to get a glimpse of their cultures and celebrations, and i loved googling everything and finding out what means what when i wasn't sure. i think that was the best part of the whole book. and hani's mom. i love her.
