Jack of Hearts was an addictive read with a really compelling and believable storyline. I loved all the characters and getting to know about their social life and experiences in a pretty open queer society.

Jack’s column actually gave some really great advice, it was very inclusive and sensitive, and although it wasn’t necessarily the biggest focus, it was a lovely little section between chapters.

It almost turned into a mystery genre book, which I wasn’t expecting, but it made me want to keep reading even more. The ending was pretty great and very satisfying, and I didn’t really have any idea who was the culprit until then - there were just too many feasible options, making the story even better!

Overall, this book had some really good messages within it, and so many examples of sex positive queerness, learning to love yourself, and dealing with challenging situations. A really, really great read!
