Hanna has been a lifelong inspiration for me, and this book just affirmed that. This memoir touches on her tumultuous upbringing, her discovery of the DIY punk scene, her adventures as the front woman of an underground band with a passionate following, and beyond. I loved how she spoke honestly about her imperfect feminism and the things she'd do differently as far as being more aware of her own white privilege and taking action to make BIPOC folks feel welcome in her various scenes.
