A little disappointed. I think what’s missing in this that's in the OG series is more character background - I liked the different POVs but I also never felt super connected to any of them. I would have loved more info on Rohan (his past, his thoughts, the Mercy, literally anything at all). It would have also been good to know the character motivations for them entering the Game earlier so the readers could have people to root for. It never felt like the stakes were high until the last 50 pages.
