This book had a lot of potential but I'm not entirely sure it hit the mark. I do love that it had a dragon as the main character and I really loved how queernorm it was. Everyone gets referred to as they/them until the character specifically states what pronouns they use. The only pronouns used to refer to Arcady are first and second (I/you), even after telling Everen that any pronouns are okay. I love this!!

Even though I found the plot interesting and was looking forward to where it was going, I felt like it lost some control at the end and I had trouble understanding exactly what was going on beat by beat. That, and I'm not the biggest fan of fated stories, but that's a personal preference.
