Before I go any further in the review, it is extremely important that you know that this book is EXTREMELY DARK AND TRIGGERING! Please, Please before reading this book look up all the trigger warnings, I try to put as many as I can in the content warning section of my ratings but sometimes I miss some or aren’t aware of some so please do some research on your own. Your mental health is way more important than reading a book!!
They just keep getting better and better! I wish I could rate this book higher than the first one because it somehow was even better than the first one which I also gave five stars. I don’t know what else to say about this book other than it was fantastic and I’m even more addicted than I was after finishing the first book.
The first book was definitely sad but this book broke my heart multiple times, Every single time we got even a hint about Lana’s past I was in TEARSSS! I was also bawling my eyes out with the whole side storyline about Hadley and her past. It just completely breaks my heart to know that sadly there are people out there who do this kinda of stuff to people and kids.
I’m starting to realize why it's called the Mindf*ck series because that is what it does to not only your mind but your moral compass. Even though I'm fully aware that what Lana is doing isn’t okay and just becomes someone doing bad things to you... like I mean REALLY bad things to you doesn't give you the right to murder them but then she tells us what they did and I find myself rooting her on even though in real life I would never support what she is doing.
I do not recommend reading the end of this book right when you are about to go to bed because the ending of this book is the definition of a cliffhanger and you will need to read the next book as soon as you finish this one. If you read this book and that wasn’t the case for you... please reach out to me and teach me your ways.
There's not much else to say without just repeating everything else I said in my review of the first book because everything I said in that book still applies to this one. All you really need to know is that this book and the series it is a part of is absolutely amazing and I am completely addicted to it. it is taking over my life. PLEASE READ THEM!!
