My Roommate Is a Vampire by Jenna Levine
5.0
I honestly had so much fun with this book. Frederick is a vampire who spent the last hundred years in a coma, so he's very out of touch with the modern world. Cassie is an artist who does mixed-media modern art using trash, which isn't something most people understand. Somehow they still find each other and fall in love. Amazing.
Anyway, humorous, sexy, likeable characters. A lot of romance books lose a star for me around the 80% mark because of the "mandatory drama" that is often some forced miscommunication. That didn't happen. Your mileage may vary (I saw some reviews not liking the twist there), but I didn't have a problem with it, and it was an outside conflict that didn't annoy the hell out of me.
The book itself is from Cassie's POV, but each chapter has some of Frederick's correspondence at the beginning, which are just. golden.
We didn't really solve the ethical question of blood bank meals, though.
