As someone who didn't love the first two books in the series, I don't think this was a very strong conclusion. It started slow and repetitive, then went so fast it felt like we were skipping over scenes (important ones? big reveals that no one cared about??), then it was over. There were a lot of loose ends that weren't touched at all, even ones mentioned in this book. One of the best parts of the Ballad of Never After was the chemistry between Evangeline and Jacks, but because of ~circumstances~, that was missing for a whole lot of this story and made it less exciting to read. Also, all of the villains felt extra cartoonish. Garber is clearly setting up for another series set in the same world, but it felt like the quality of the ending was sacrificed for that buildup. I'm not being too harsh with the rating because I rarely read YA and I'm definitely not the target audience.
