CN: death of a parent (past), child neglect, child abuse, attempted suicide, death, murder, violence, domestic abuse, fatphobia

This is such a refreshing Regency romance! Not just because the main characters are Black, but also because of the writing style and the way the story is told.

Second chance romance is one of my all-time favorite tropes, and it was done so well in this book!

The ending was a bit too chaotic for my taste, but aside from that, I really enjoyed the story.

“Aphrodite and the Duke” reminded me a lot of Bridgerton (especially the first season), so if you’re a Bridgerton fan, you should definitely read this book!
