The Miseducation of Cameron Post by Emily M. Danforth

5.0

Loved this coming-of-age book about homosexuality and the way evangelical churches try to "reform" a homosexual. It's almost like the author is telling her personal story the way she lives and breathes Cameron Post. As a parent myself, it makes me reflect on how my reaction to the scenario would set the stage for my daughter for how she would internalize her sexuality. Thought-provoking, excellent characters, interesting plot. I would easily put this in a "top 5" books for teens, along with Thirteen Reasons Why.

I smiled when the abbreviation of the church program was GOP.
