This is everything I love in a picture book -- beautiful, detailed art that your eyes just drink up; a sweet plot about making your dreams come true, even with some unexpected bumps in the road; mythical creatures just looking for some yummy, disgusting grub to eat. I loved the rhyming lilt, and the working friendship between Rene and Glumfoot. This is the type of world I'd want to see more of! I think this book would be perfect for fans of Hilda, Nobody Likes a Goblin, and Ratatouille.
