📖 BOOK REVIEW🔖
The Wives - Tarryn Fisher

“I’m holding everyone accountable, because it takes a village to put someone in a mental institution"

Ugh. The first 40% of this book was very engaging and very fast paced. I was into it despite the evident misogyny coming from the main character, Thursday. I have to admit, I missed the transphobic comments. I attribute that to it being the audiobook version & me not hanging on every word.

Without giving away too much, I would describe this book as a clusterf*ck. I actually had to read the end twice because I ended up so confused. The end really felt like a cop out to me. I was hoping for another twist to make the book worthwhile. Tons of triggers in this one including loss of pregnancy. Research before reading if you are a sensitive reader. ❣️
