Troublemaker by Linda Howard

Another good offering from Linda Howard, though Tricks really stole the limelight! It's got everything you expect from romantic suspense: a highly-trained operative (thankfully not yet another SEAL story), a small town, and a woman who keeps to herself. This time round we got a bonus main character: a wonderfully smart Golden Retriever.
I was a little confused about how you can have an administrative Chief of Police, but I guess there are other positions where people are elected without qualification, so I let that slide without bothering me too much. But an entertaining read, which is all I really ask for in this genre.
