Finding Me by Viola Davis

5.0

Exquisite, approachable, heartbreaking, and redemptive

Viola Davis is such a strong actress, and her humble beginnings and the violence she experienced as a child certainly impacted how she views and interacts with the world.

This is an impactful, if succinct, memoir. It’s not full of humble brags; it’s gritty and honest, exposing her own warts while certainly demonstrating how resilient Ms. Davis is.
