This was a perfect little novella that brought us back to Sheet Cake, Texas and introduced some new folks. Kallie and Deacon's story was well paced, which is hard to do in a novella, but the author gave us enough back story and set up the perfect one bed only situation to clinch the ending. I am not always a fan of many closed door romances anymore but I will read anything Emma St. Clair gives us--her stories are full of humor, community, and heart!
