David and Goliath by Malcolm Gladwell
4.0
I'd say this book made me really think. I have previously read a bit about the topics discussed here: how some things can be beneficial but only to a certain extent, how underdogs can triumph but not by sheer luck. It's something I'm definitely familiar with but not knowledgeable in.
I think the author really did a good job of bringing different stories together coupled with studies and related anecdotes. There were some times I could immediately see where he was going with the story and times where the actual outcome made me rethink all what I thought I knew.
As long as they are not based wrongly, it is always quite humbling to read the works of people more knowledgeable than you are.
Though I must say that I didn't always understand the point of him putting Bible verse quotes at the beginning of parts of the book. I don't think it was poorly executed as others say but I couldn't quite seem to understand the purpose of that.
