The Undermining of Twyla and Frank is a heartwarming fantasy novel centered around best friends Twyla and Frank, two fifty-something Tanrian Marshals who find the surprise of a lifetime while out on patrol. This is the second book in the series and stands well on its own but I definitely recommend reading The Undertaking of Hart and Mercy to get a better understanding of the world it’s set in. Twyla and Frank were both charming seasoned protagonists and I was so happy to see them get a second chance at love. This delightful novel contains action, mystery, friends-to-lovers romance, and the most adorable baby dragons. Such a joy to read!
