What a weird book. I think I liked it? But it's hard to say, it's so unusual. I really liked the first half or so, but grew increasingly sceptic toward it all. The ending, I think, pulls it all together and makes what came before make more sense. 

I definitely did not like

the whole Amgam charade. She was so underdeveloped as a character - she never speaks - and so Thomson falling in love with her only through Garvey's story made zero sense to me!
