I was really excited about this book - I’ve been to Vietnam twice, most recently this time last year - so lots of the scenery was familiar and I loved the food and vibrant descriptions of the culture… but I just couldn’t get into the characters relationships. Adam’s voice wasn’t hitting for me, and the way he talked about Evie and then the way she was in her chapters just didn’t line up. I’d definitely try this author again though - the chemistry just wasn’t here on this one
