What can I say about this book. Wow, just... Wow.  There was no chance of sleep; with this story hanging over me!

I felt every emotion as the story played out —the exultation of joy, the ache of sorrow. Khaled Hosseini, is a masterful writer who was able to weave intricate threads of narrative for each character. He painted vivid scenes, and I felt like I was there amongst the rubble of Kabul.

Imagine being thrust into impossible choices at just fifteen. Mariam and Laila, their lives intersecting, became more than characters—they were flesh and blood. Their imperfections, their resilience, made them real.

This will live with me for a long time.
