Romiette and Julio by Sharon M. Draper
4.75
I enjoyed how this book made me feel. Contrary to the premise it felt like a pleasant read. It could have done without the meta Shakespeare and Romeo & Juliet references, but I’m glad they lived . I liked reading a challenged book with important dialogue about social justice issues.
Graphic: Racism and Kidnapping
Moderate: Gun violence, Racial slurs, and Stalking
Minor: Fire/Fire injury
