This book really had me coming back for more. Not only was it the first book I’ve successfully annotated, It was such a thought provoking book and it really made my mind work. I was so enthralled at the beginning, as you are as a regular romance reader, and when your pushed inside of Vanessa’s head it just got that much more intense and dark. Overall I loved the read, nothing like I’ve read before, except it didn’t have the ending I expected but I still continue to defend myself because what did I really expect for an ending? Anyways I suggest anyone and everyone should read this book at least once, annotate it or scribble some notes in the margins about what some of the controversial and psychological plot points made you think. Be aware of TW (drug/alcohol abuse, rape, sexual abuse/sexual assault, suicide).
