Revolt in the Desert by T.E. Lawrence

adventurous informative reflective relaxing slow-paced

3.75

An excellently and elaborately written narrative of the Arab Revolt, amusing in places, tense in places and thoroughly entertaining. A touch slow-paced in places, and noticeably abridged (names are a touch confusing), but altogether a very reflective and atmospheric text. If you don't like heavy description or atmosphere over plot this probably isn't the book for you, but as a description of atmosphere and an account of the history I recommend it. Hampered only by the slightly confusing nature of the account, which is probably a result of it being an abridged version.
