This book was incredibly intricate. It featured numerous interconnected stories and a cast of characters that were simultaneously complex, unlikable, and deeply tragic. The dysfunctional nature of the family depicted in the book is beyond words.

Nugent's writing is remarkably clever, as she manages to make each storyline both relatable and utterly wild at the same time.

Initially, I was unsure about the changing points of view between the three brothers, but as I delved deeper into the book, I found myself increasingly captivated.

The only critique I have is that I'm not entirely convinced that "thriller" is the most fitting genre for this book. While there are thriller elements and a clear whodunit thread from the start, it's more akin to a family drama. Nonetheless, I thoroughly enjoyed it, and Nugent is swiftly becoming one of my favourite authors to read.
