Circe by Madeline Miller

i LOVE this book!!!!!

so, i know this is a very men-centered book, even though is about circe (love of my life). most things she does or learns are connected to some men, which is kind of annoying BUT understandable giving this is greek mythology.

i loved her path. loved how she was shy and trusting of everyone and everything and all she wanted was someone to love her back and understand her but when everything comes falling she rises from the earth that surrounds her at that isle. i loved how she learned from people and from (horrible as hell) experiences and in the end, she was freer and more herself than ever.

i admire her and as a person that was obsessed with all kinds of mythology, but especially greek, i learned to like penelope (which was a surprise, because i used to think she was dull and kind of dumb to wait for a dude - odysseus, you are an idiot). i respect her as hell and really liked knowing that she is the knew witch of eana (don’t know if this is the name of the isle in english, but it is in portuguese)!!!!!!

telemachus you are great. not gonna lie, it IS a little weird given who his father is but again... this is greek mythology. i’m not going to say i love him because after this book i don’t think i’m capable of liking any men in fiction/real life for a while, but he is a breath of fresh air! i liked his personality and think he is a good companion to circe.

the ending was great and it was what i hoped, so i honestly enjoyed. a big 5 stars!!!
