Triple Threat by K Webster

dark fast-paced

2.0

I'm not entirely sure what I just read, but I read it.
There were many things left unresolved that perplexed me, but I'm unable to make myself go back to this universe. I realised that this book is apart of a series after reading other comments. It seemed so weird that there were all these characters I was supposed to be familiar with or have some kind of a connection with. Newsflash, I didn't.
Like, why is the main character's name Landry? Her freaking nickname was LAUNDRY - I get it, but I don't, at all. And I won't even go into Mannford > Ford Mann logic and dynamics, because there was a lack of logic.

The 'relationships' between the triplets and Landry changed, um, quickly? The amount of trauma this poor girl has is astronomical and I can't imagine her functioning like this. She wasn't even mad at the triplets for deceiving her??
I understand that the main plot of this book was the erotica part, but dear lord, please make things make sense, the timings were a little odd, and to be quite honest there weren't even earth-shattering scenes. Plus, I'm very aware that this was a dark romance, don't get me wrong, I wasn't fazed by that, but rather in what context the dark part was used. Landry's father - I feel like he was made worse with every mention to make him an even crazier monster than he already was.

I feel like most of the book was a draft that had a lot of logical errors, for instance, what happened to the triplets mother who was such an important figure for them in the beginning and it seemed like they forgot about her entirely. One thing I would like to mention is that Landry's little sister was deaf, so there were discussions of ASL, her condition and such topics, it was great to see!
I feel like I'm hating too much on this book, besides I read through the duology in a single day. My brain just can't accept DNF-ing a book (unfortunately).

We're a triple threat. Always.

P.S- This book will be triggering to many people, so I highly suggest you look up content and trigger warnings, because this book has a variety of those!
