All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr

Did not finish book. Stopped at 49%.
I think this book reaffirmed that I need to stay away from books that revolve around WW2 in Europe or the US because I've read too much of it. I didn't feel very invested in anything that's happening. I think part of it is the timeline switching, and part of it is how overly descriptive this book felt without actually saying anything at all. This is definitely vibes over substance.

I'm also surprised that the main characters hadn't even met by the time I stopped reading; the book synopsis puts some emphasis on them meeting, and kindness, etc, but those definitely aren't the focus for the first half of the story.
